Tour Plan

Science Center (PacSci) ignites curiosity in every child and fuels a passion for discovery, experimentation, and critical thinking in all of us. Born in the spirit of innovation at the 1962 World’s Fair in Seattle, PacSci has ignited curiosity for more than 60 years. Since its founding as the U.S.’ first science and technology center, PacSci has worked to expand access to science, serve as a vital resource for educators, and fuel discovery and experimentation as a vibrant community laboratory.
Snoqualmie Falls is one of the grandest waterfalls that the United States has to offer. Since it drops 268 feet or 82 meters , the waterfall has become a major source of naturally generated hydro-electric power for the region. Because of the immense size, there are opportunities to view the falls from different angles. One views from either the park area or from a small platform accessible through a moderate 1.3 mile hike. The best time to join the fun is from June until December. The park Receiving on average 1.5 million visitors per year, the Park features hiking, walking, birding, and witnessing the famous waterfall featured in the cult classic “Twin Peaks.” The location also features the Salish Lodge and Spa, a lovely resort getaway. This is where the Pacific Northwest Cuisine shines with seasonal ingredients, homegrown herbs, and honey featured from their own apiary. The award winning spa is also nothing short of relaxing serenity. You can soak in the therapeutic pools and stock up on organic skin care products.
Next to Volunteer Park in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood lies a spot that’s visited by 10,000 people every year. Through the gates of Lake View Cemetery and halfway up a hill with clear views of Lake Washington, the space is shielded by evergreen shrubs. This is where Bruce Lee, legendary Chinese American martial artist and film star, was laid to rest in 1973. His grave is not only a Seattle tourist attraction but a national and global pilgrimage site. Lee was 32 years old when he died from a brain swelling caused by an allergic reaction to painkillers. But in many ways he lives on still. Since his death, visitors have come to his grave, alone and in tour groups. So many people visit, said cemetery manager George Nemeth Jr., that shrubs were planted around the grave to prevent visitors from trampling on the other graves in the cemetery.
